Several of my gardening chums are using worm castings to fertilize tomato. Considering that worm castings are very expensive unless you make them yourself, is there an economical way to use them for tomato production?

I started this year using a pinch of worm casting  in my seed pots. I know worm castings are an incredible fertilizer and many of my friends use them with great success. check online for good sources.
